If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Julie at 12x12travels.blogspot.ca. I created 2 Valentine’s cards for this month’s hop. One is using a pattern from the CTMH wishes book and the other is using Pinterest for inspiration.
Click on the links below to learn more about the products used.
The first card uses the Wishes: Lucky Layers pattern. The wishes book give you a template, the measurements of each piece of paper used and a sample of a card. Easy peeasy!
On the front of this card I made a rosette or yo-yo. I made this with a 12 x 1/2 inch strip on paper. I scored the paper every 1/4″. and folded the paper like a fan. Using liquid glass to secure the center.
The heart on the top part of the card were folded in half slightly and a line of liquid down the fold to adhere them to the card base. This gives the hearts a 3D look.
The second card was inspire from a few pinterest posts. The “You & Me” flag was taken from the zip strip on the top of the papers. These zip strips are great for cards!
Happy “early” Valentine’s Day!
