Cross Canada Blog Hop: Use your Stash

Welcome to our June Blog Hop about using your stash.  We have an amazing group of talented ladies all across Canada, and they sure would love to hear from you, so before hopping onto the next person, take a moment and leave a comment about what you loved.
If you’ve arrived from Colleen of  stressedisjustdessertsbackwards.blogspot.ca then you are in the right place!  If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, and continue from East Coast to West Coast, you can start here with Michelle mycreationswithmichelle.blogspot.ca.

It is a busy time of year in my house as we prepare for the graduation of our third child, Carter.  At graduation I have gifted each child an album that contains a two page spread from birth to Grade 12.  Each album is color themed based on what the child’s favorite color is.  This year the Pickly Pear colors are perfect as Carter’s orange and green.  I noticed that I would have many zip strips left over from the paper packets as I wasn’t planning to use them in his album.  I then began to wonder what I was going to do with them…

This two page layout was created using those zip strips that you cut off the 12×12 paper.

  1. AWESOME use of those zip-strips. Because they come from the same paper pack, they work really well together.
How wonderful those books are as mementos for your kids…they are lucky to have such a creative mum.

  2. Awesome!! I have a mountain of zip strips that I have been wanting to throw out but have kept in case I found a use for them. Now I do! Thanks for the inspiration!
