Picture my life (PML) cards are very versatile.  They are not just for scrapbooks.  They can be used for cards, embellishments on scrapbook pages, mini-albums and in my case gift card holders.  I have discovered the4x6 cards are the perfect size for holding gift cards.  These holders are quick and easy to do and add a little excitements to giving gift cards.  I made four of them in less than an hour … it probably would have been less time if I didn’t have to clean up my work space first … I bet no creative person can relate to that.

I scored that PML cards using the NEW Close to my Heart Scoring board at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/4″.

I used a variety of methods to close the edges of the cards.  I used liquid glass to seal the edges.  Just use a very thing line close to edge of the card in order to have enough room to place the gift card.

I used washi tape to close the edge of this one.  This leave plenty of room to place the gift card.IMG_1107.JPG

I used our great NEW punches to add a nice edge to the back of the cards.IMG_1108.JPG

Now on to how they are closed.  Card 1 has threaded ribbon through the punched back and then tied it on the from of the card in a bow.IMG_1112.JPG

Card 2 has a circle cut from a smaller PML card and adhered it to the lower piece of the card and the upper piece is tucked behind the circle.  You can see what I am trying to describe below.

I added some Gold Bling to the music note design on the PML card and added some gold shimmer tape.

Card 3 has a Twist tie threaded through a punched hole and then tied together on the front.

Card 4 is closed together using a flower cut from a smaller PML card, adhered to the lower half of the card while the upper half is placed behind the flower.
