If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle at mycreationswithmichelle.blogspot.ca. If you came from Rosalynd of inmyscrappinroom.blogspot.ca then you are in the right place!
My studio has taken many forms over the almost 18 years of creating I have done. I have worked on a kitchen table with everything going away each time I finished for the night to a whole studio space that I just recently gave up.
When I closed the studio I decided that I would create a space for myself in our seldom used great room. I found a home for our baby grand piano in another room which was probably the biggest task since it is the biggest piece of furniture in that room. I then went on a mission to find all the shelving units in the house that matched that I could put in the room. I knew I had enough units to fill this space.
Here is the end result in pictures:
Photo taken before I placed the Christmas tree in the right hand corner of the room.
Bookshelf #1 is home to my albums. I am not a chronological scrapbooker so I have a 3-ring album for each year so that I can place completed pages in the correct album as I create.
Bookshelf #2 is home to past Idea Books, on-going projects and odds & ends. The Ikea cart #1 is home to ribbons, adhesives, buttons and my Xyron sticker machine.
Cricut and Cuttlebug corner. The shelf also holds my printed photos that are ready to scrapbook.
My creative table. Right now I am working on a round table because it is Christmas and I had to make space for our tree. Normally there is a 6 foot table here, the computer is where the tree is and the round table is in the center of the room.
This wall of shelves contains all of my supplies. There is paper, stamps, stickers, markers, ink pads….
A close up of my paper collection. My paper is sorted by colours of the rainbow and the CTMH paper packs are sorted alpha-numerically.
My inks & markers are sorted by the colours of the rainbow as well.
Om the top of this shelf I have my ink daubers. I have a ink dauber labelled for each ink pad I own. The ink pads that are stacked on the black towers on the right are the current CTMH colours and the retired colours are on the left.
My stamps sets are sorted alpha-numerically. I also have a digital inventory stored on Evernote.
